2012 ASHRAE Winter Conference

Hey there fellow San Diegans! After a wonderful week in Chicago for the ASHRAE Convention and AHR Expo, I’m quite happy to be back in our little slice of heaven. And apparently the trend is catching on back at ASHRAE Headquarters as we have two very exciting events coming up here in our beautiful city! As many of you are aware, the High Performance Building Conference is quickly approaching, taking place March 12-13th in Mission Valley. We are fortunate to have many local individuals involved in the upcoming conference and it’s anticipated to have a great turnout. Likewise, it was just announced in Chicago that the next YEA Leadership Weekend (YLW) will be taking place here in San Diego on the weekend of March 30th thru April 1st! As your YEA (Young Engineers in ASHRAE) Regional Coordinator and San Diego Chapter board member I am extremely excited to see our city host such a dynamic event and expose our young members to all that ASHRAE has to offer. YEA Leadership Weekend is an opportunity for future leaders of ASHRAE to learn more about Society, develop soft skills and network with other young professionals. The event includes segments on understanding your own personality as well as other personality types, professional development, communication techniques and ASHRAE leadership opportunities. Registration is now open and there is a limited number of spots available (typically only 30 for each YLW) so be sure to submit your registration as soon as possible. Visit http://www.ashrae.org/membership--conferences/young-engineers-in-ashrae for more information or feel free to contact me any time at cindyh@tmmechanical.com. I look forward to seeing San Diego represent at these upcoming events!
